Rule 13
General Manner of Delivery of Documents to be Presented in Court
(1) The document to be submitted to the court should be written in fullscape (A four) size plain Nepali paper on each page with one inch at the top and bottom, one and a half inches at the left side and half an inch at the right side and three inches at the top in case of the first page.
(2) The document to be submitted to the court should be computer typed or printed on one side of the paper only, typed or printed in unicode Nepali font with twelve point and line spacing at most one decimal five.
(3) The person who brings the document to be registered should mention the following details of himself and the respondent as far as known in the document:-
(a) Name and Surname,
(b) Names of husband, wife, father, mother and father-in-law (c) Fax, email, telephone number, mobile number and other identifying details, as far as available,
(d) If working in any office or organization, his/her position, office or organization name, address and fax, email, telephone number if available,
(e) Permanent and currently residing address (district, metropolitan city, sub-metropolitan city, municipality, rural municipality, ward number, toll, road and block number of the house if any,
(f) In case of an incorporated body, its name, address, place of head office.
(4) The full name, surname, address and other necessary introductory details of each person mentioned in the letter of the document should be clearly mentioned so that they can be easily identified.
(5) The full address of each place mentioned in the document should be clearly indicated.
(6) The person who brings the document to be registered should have a short signature on each page and a legible signature on the last page, or if he does not know how to write, he should have a handprint instead of the signature.
(7) If the legal practitioner drafts the document, the document must be clearly signed by the person who drafted the document and his name and certificate number on the left edge of the first page of the document.
(8) LawIf the document is drafted by someone other than the businessperson or the person who comes to register the document, then on the left edge of the first page of the document, the person who drafted the document must state "This document was drafted by me, I have not been convicted of bribery, bribery or fraud" and his name, surname and address should be clear. It should be duly signed.
(9) In the last chapter of the document, "The writing on it is true, if it is found to be a lie, I will submit it according to the law, I will assist the court in the notice issued by the court, the deadline, etc."
(10) The subjects of the document should be written in proper and restrained language by separating the cases in sequence.
(11) Any person who brings a document to be registered or who comes to file a document in the court must submit his citizenship or name, surname, nationality and any other identifying information.
(12) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (11), no introductory evidence has to be submitted again if it has been previously submitted in the same case and a missile is involved.
(13) A person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or a fine by a lower court or other judicial body, when coming to register an appeal or any other document, must submit the evidence that he has served such imprisonment, is serving, has paid the amount of the fine, or has given bond or bail in accordance with the law.
(14) If the document to be submitted in writing is in a language other than Nepali language, if the court deems it necessary, it may be translated in accordance with the prevailing law and a certified copy of the translation may also be submitted in writing.
(15) Along with the document brought to the court for registration, the electronic copy should also be submitted compulsorily.
(16) If there is any change in the details as per sub-rule (3), it shall be the duty of the concerned party to inform the court within fifteen days from the date of change excluding the date of passage.
